Trade Secrets
A trade secret is a company’s “special sauce.” It’s the business information that makes a company’s products or services unique and must be kept “secret” within the company to hold its independent economic value. Trade secrets appear in many different forms, including formulas, recipes, processing methods, diagrams, and sales and marketing materials. Litigation is often necessary in instances where a company’s trade secret has been misappropriated or improperly disclosed. The trade secret attorneys at Bruno Law pursue trade secret theft lawsuits on behalf of businesses that have been injured as a result of the unauthorized disclosure and use of their trade secrets.
These lawsuits are often pursued in instances where a former employee breached a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) by disclosing the employer’s trade secret to a competitor. Trade secret lawsuits are very serious matters because maintaining the secrecy element of a trade secret is critical to preserving a company’s competitive advantage in the marketplace. The trade secret attorneys at Bruno Law pursue trade secret lawsuits in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts and in federal courts under the Defend Trade Secrets Act (“DTSA”).
In addition to litigating trade secret theft lawsuits, our attorneys draft non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), non-competition agreements, confidentiality agreements, and employment contracts to ensure that our clients’ rights are properly protected from the onset.
